ANNOUNCED ROSTERS:
La Vinotinto’s roster is highlighted by Inter Miami CF’s midfielder and rising star Telasco Segovia, Toulouse FC’s Cristian Cásseres, and Sao Paulo’s Nahuel Ferraresi. Additionally, the Venezuelans are expected to debut their newly released kit during this FIFA window.
Canada’s roster includes a strong side, as they prepare to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring Feyenoord’s Cyle Larin, Villareal’s Tajon Buchanan, Juventus forward and recently named 2024/25 Concacaf Men's Player of the Year Jonathan David, and 2025 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Dayne St. Clair.
ABOUT THE MATCH
The match, which will take place during the November FIFA international window, presents a fourth all-time meeting between the nations and the first since La Vinotinto and The Reds clashed in the quarterfinals of the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024, a thriller that saw Canada win 4-3 in penalties after an initial 1-1 draw in regulation. The other two encounters were in international friendlies in 2007 and 2010, with both matchups resulting in draws.
Venezuela are no strangers to showcasing their game to fans at Chase Stadium, with La Vinotinto having played against the USMNT in January, and previously facing off against Italy in March 2024 and Colombia in December 2023.
Canada, meanwhile, are set to play at Inter Miami’s home ground for the first time after previously training at the state-of-the-art facilities at the Club’s Florida Blue Training Center on several occasions. The friendly fixture is part of preparations for the side led by head coach Jesse Marsch ahead of being one of the host nations for next year’s World Cup.
Chase Stadium’s electric atmosphere proves once again that the Inter Miami CF facilities are a top spot for international fútbol after hosting numerous international matchups in 2025. The year kicked off with a clash between the USMNT and Venezuela and the FC Series match between Brazilian Série A giants Sao Paulo and CR Flamengo in January, followed by Guatemala taking on Honduras in a Central American battle in March, and The Beautiful Game celebrity match returning to South Florida for a second occasion in June.
